Designed by LucidiPevere for Ligne Roset, the Païpaï Armchair transforms a simple folded surface into a generous and enveloping cocoon seat. The distinctive form began with the idea of folding a piece of paper to create a closed shape.
Inspired by the rounded form of the traditional Pai-Pai fan, the folds shape the foam and define the armrests. The result is a sculptural designer armchair with a soft, expressive silhouette.
The Païpaï Armchair combines a high-performance foam construction with a flexible armrest structure for exceptional comfort. Its generous back and enveloping form make it an inviting place to sit, relax and unwind.
LucidiPevere developed Païpaï from the idea of origami-like fold lines, using the folds to define the relationship between the seat, back and arms. The designers describe the result as a visibly comfortable cocoon seat.

Construction & Comfort
The seat and back structure are made from mechanically soldered steel. The armrests use a technical fabric construction that provides flexibility, while a sheet of steel connects the seat and armrest. The visible screws form a considered design detail.
The seat and back are suspended using elastic webbing. High-resilience Bultex foam is combined with ultra-flexible polyurethane foam and polyester quilting to create soft yet supportive comfort.
The lumbar cushion measures 660 × 300 mm and is filled with goose feathers. Slim Ø18 mm matt black steel legs complete the design.

- Festa – Polyester 75%, cotton 10%, viscose 10%, linen 5%
- Match – Cotton 50%, viscose 33%, linen 17%
