Designed by Soda Designers for Ligne Roset, the Desdemone Bed – High Headboard rethinks the traditional bed as a place for sleeping, reading, watching television and relaxing.
Its upholstered headboard evokes the shape of a protective shell, creating a soft and inviting cocoon around the bed.
The continuous relationship between the upholstered headboard and base gives the Desdemone Bed a sense of visual lightness, even with its generous 1,095 mm high headboard. The taller profile creates a stronger architectural presence while retaining the softness and serenity of the design.
The Desdemone Bed is conceived as a refuge from the outside world. Its upholstered form encourages the bedroom to become a space for a variety of uses, with the headboard providing comfortable support for reading, watching television or simply unwinding.

Materials & Construction
The structure is constructed from tubing and multi-ply panels, covered in polyurethane foam and polyester quilting. The headboard combines tubing and metal mesh with polyurethane foam and polyester quilting.
The cover features an over-stitched baguette stitch and an invisible zip at the rear of the headboard. A central seam is included on the inside face of the headboard in the leather version.
