Designed by Pierre Paulin for Ligne Roset, the sculptural Bonnie Swivelling Armchair is a reissue of an original 1975 design, known as models 500 and 500/2.

Developed from one of the few surviving examples available to collectors, Bonnie combines the distinctive character of Pierre Paulin’s original design with the comfort expected of contemporary seating.

Its softly rounded form closely follows the contours of the body, creating a sculptural seat that is both visually inviting and exceptionally comfortable.

Integrated armrests and distinctive button detailing give Bonnie its recognisable silhouette, while the swivelling base adds flexibility to this iconic design.

Materials & Construction

The Bonnie Swivelling Armchair features a shell structure in steel wire and steel mesh, clad in injected foam and 100 g/m² polyester quilting.

The seat and integrated armrests are formed from high-resilience Bultex foam with an ultra-flexible polyurethane comfort layer.

The integrated backrest combines Bultex foam with an ultra-flexible comfort layer to create a supportive and enveloping seat. A 5 mm baguette stitch finishes the perimeter, while the upholstery is detailed with fabric or leather-covered buttons.

The Bonnie Swivelling Armchair is available in a carefully selected range of Ligne Roset upholstery options.

In keeping with the original spirit of the design, plain covering materials are particularly recommended, including smooth leathers, nubuck, woollen fabrics and selected stretch jersey fabrics.

• Gentle: A knitted velvet with a 100 % New Zealand wool pile. Resistant to wear, 100 % natural and stretchy, making it the ideal covering material for unusual design shapes. Easy to maintain. Wool 60%, polyamid 20%, polyester 20%.
• Milla: A bouclé look fabric made of acrylic 29%, cotton 26%, viscose 13%, polyester 8%, linen 6%.
